Nearly 20% of job seekers arrive at HireArt through a mobile device. And while it’s pretty easy to browse jobs on your phone, we know that responding to questions and completing interviews isn’t the smoothest experience if you’re in a mobile browser. That’s why we’ve spent the last five months developing the most comprehensive job application tool around. HireArt for iPhone is now available in the App Store! HireArt’s core capabilities—finding jobs, completing video and work sample responses, and receiving updates on your application status—are still available through the app, but we’ve introduced some additional features to make the mobile experience more efficient…

View Submitted Applications One of our top priorities at HireArt is being as transparent as possible with candidates regarding our process. We know how frustrating it can be to put so much work into an application, only for it to end up in a black hole. Only slightly less frustrating is submitting an application but not having any record or memory of what you sent. That’s why we’ve introduced the ability to review old applications from your dashboard. If you click on a completed application, you’ll be able to see the questions you answered, your responses, and the job description. Rerecord Flagged…

The end of December is a great time to look back on the past year, and look forward to the next. Life looks pretty hectic from my perspective; HireArt is a fast-growing startup and we have a lot on our plate. The hiring environment is getting hotter and hotter. But it’s nice to just sit back, take a breath, and reflect on things. So I thought I’d review a few positive numbers as my way of giving thanks and offering up some season’s greetings. First off, many of us sensed that 2014 would be a good year for the economy,…

Dear friends and stakeholders in HireArt, HireArt’s co-founders, Elli and Nick, asked me to join HireArt as CEO and I am thrilled. The team is smart and passionate about making meaningful matches between job seekers and employers. They have worked hard to understand the pain points of employers and candidates, and have built a beautiful product that makes hiring easier and more efficient. I am humbled and honored to take on this new role and have high hopes for what we can accomplish as a team. In coming into this new role, my biggest priority is making sure I connect…

I’m happy to announce a small—but hopefully useful—update to our employer interface: the ability to edit or change a job’s custom interview question. While this question has always been customizable, it could previously be changed only before the job had gone live on our site. Now it can be changed as often as desired, even after candidates have started applying to the job. When you submit a change to your custom question, we make sure to handle the update as gracefully as possible behind the scenes: New applicants will be given the new question (as expected) Applicants who are finished or in-progress will keep their original question…

Today I’m happy to announce the release of a totally revamped employer interface. This batch of features is the culmination of almost two months of design, development,  and testing, with two overall goals: Organize and rework our existing features to make them easier to find and use. Give us room to implement the upcoming features in our development pipeline. The motivation for #1 should be pretty clear. We want to make finding and hiring good candidates as easy as possible, which means being able to set-up and manage a job with minimal effort. Unfortunately, with our previous interface, we found that the more features we added, the…

As of yesterday, we’ve rolled out a few new products and product updates that we hope will significantly improve both the candidate and employer experience. On the employer side, we have an entirely new product, which we hope will make HireArt’s recruiting services available to more companies. On the candidate side, we’ve made browsing and applying to jobs easier than ever, allowing candidates to reuse video answers and work samples. For Employers So far, HireArt had offered one product: a headhunting search style product powered by our video and work sample interviews and priced at 10% of the first year…
